IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP)
Per the IRS website, this gives you limited representation rights for your clients. Per the IRS, "Annual Filing Season Program participants have limited representation rights, meaning they can represent clients whose returns they prepared and signed (but only before revenue agents, customer service representatives, and similar IRS employees, including the Taxpayer Advocate Service)".
Post this special designation to your PTIN - be sure to complete by 12/31 before the season starts, and log into your PTIN to consent to specific obligations. Find authorized online providers who offer this course, with certain providers that offer CPE credits (ex. NATP, etc.).
